CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Boston College baseball team lost to Miami, 11-3, at Mark Light Field on Saturday night. The Eagles dropped to 6-7 overall and 1-1 in the ACC, while the Hurricanes improved to 10-4 and 1-1.
Freshman right-hander Karson Ligon (2-1) went six innings to get the win for Miami. He scattered four hits and a walk, yielding one run, and struck out seven.
The Hurricanes got a run on BC freshman right-hander Sean Hard (Mahwah, N.J.), who limited the damage with an inning-ending double play, as shortstop Dominic Pitelli hit a leadoff home run in the third.
