PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Boston College softball team scored a season high 16 runs to defeat Providence, 16-4, in five innings behind a pair of home runs by senior Chloe Sharabba and freshman CC Cook and a season-high 13 walks as a team on the night.
The Eagles (16-15) jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when they scored five runs, powered by a lead-off double by Sharabba, a single by Cook, a bunt single by junior Lexi DiEmmanuele and a single by freshman Cami Sellers. A two-run home run in the third inning by Sharabba would increase BC's lead to 7-0.
