NEWTON, Mass. –
Sophomore scored three goals to lead Boston College past ACC foe Virginia Tech, 3-0, on Thursday night at the Newton Soccer Field.
Prior to the match, BC, Virginia Tech and Louisville were all tied in second place in the ACC with a 3-1-0 conference record. With the win, Boston College (12-1-0) stands alone in second place with a 4-1-0 record as Louisville fell to Virginia. The Hokies dropped to 7-3-2 overall and 3-2-0 in the ACC.
Coffey opened the scoring in the 11 minute of the match on a left-footed shot to the far post from 18-yards out.
