In a nearly unanimous vote (Daryl Watts was also in the running), Sam Apuzzo is BC Interruption’s 2018 Female Player of the Year. Apuzzo helped lead the women’s lacrosse team to an undefeated regular season and a Final Four appearance. She also won the Tewaaraton Award, and is the first Boston College player to do so.

Apuzzo led the Eagles in nearly all categories this season, including goals (88), assists (41), points (129), shots (159), shots on goal (126), game winning goals (9), caused turnovers (31), and draw control wins (163). As perhaps the most well-rounded player in the league, Apuzzo beat out 4 seniors to win the Tewaaraton Award, which is given to the best D1 male and female lacrosse players in the NCAA.
