Ryan Fitzgerald has signed an entry-level deal with the Boston Bruins organization. Fitzgerald will report to the AHL’s Providence Bruins on an Amateur Tryout basis for the rest of this season; his two-year, entry-level professional deal kicks in at the start of the 2017-18 season.
Fitzgerald was drafted by the Bruins in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, going 120th overall.
Fitzgerald will join two former Eagles in the Bruins system: Jimmy Hayes in Boston, who is his cousin (although many think Hayes might end up in Vegas next season), and Tommy Cross, the captain of the Providence Bruins.
