NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame swept both games of Saturday's doubleheader versus Boston College on Saturday afternoon at Melissa Cook Stadium. The Irish won the opener 10-2 in six innings and 10-0 in five innings in the second game.
In the first game, Notre Dame led 4-2 after five innings before the Irish exploded for six runs in the sixth to end it.
Ellie Mataya was 2-for-3 with a RBI and stolen base in game one for the Eagles.
In game two, the Irish scored seven runs in the first two innings to take control early.
