BURLINGTON, Vt. – Two freshmen each recorded two goals in a gritty road victory on Friday night, silencing a soldout Gutterson Fieldhouse, 4-3, thanks to a late game-winning marker by Aapeli Rasanen.
Rasanen and teammate Logan Hutsko both had breakout performances in their 11th game in the maroon and gold. Hutsko also scored a pair of goals, along with an assist, for BC's first three-point performance of the night. Rasanen's game winner occurred at 16:54 of the third period.
Boston College outshot Vermont, 45-21, for the most shots recorded this season and most since the Eagles blasted 59 shots at Ferris State on Dec.
