Chestnut Hill, Mass. – The Boston College women's basketball team defeated ACC opponent, Pittsburgh, 72-61, on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum behind a team-leading 23 points by sophomore .
The Eagles improved to 7-18 overall and 2-10 in the ACC while Pittsburgh dropped to 10-15 overall and 2-10 in the conference. The 72 points scored mark the most points scored by BC since Jan. 4 versus North Carolina.
BC entered the second half of the game trailing, 34-30, but turned it around with a 7-0 run in the beginning of the third quarter. Pineau scored 17 of her 23 points in the second half and contributed 10 points in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter to propel the Eagles to victory over the Panthers.
