The Boston College Eagles’ offense suffered a major blow going into their game against Virginia Saturday. Phil Jurkovec and David Bailey will not play for the Eagles after being ruled out.
Jurkovec and Bailey both left the Eagles game against Louisville early with injuries, but BC head coach Jeff Hafley expressed optimism that two of BC’s most important offensive weapons would be able to play. Ultimately both players were too injured to play.
Dennis Grosel, no stranger to coming in for an injured starting quarterback, is expected to get the nod to replace Jurkovec. Grosel was 4-for-7 with two throwing touchdowns in relief for Jurkovec against Louisville.
