Pete Frates is headed to the Hall. That’s right, the former Boston College baseball captain and current ALS advocate’s legacy will be forever enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
Today, at Fenway Park, Pete and members of his family will meet with representatives from the Hall of Fame to donate Pete’s glove from his time at BC, the original bucket used in the very first Ice Bucket Challenge, and the sunglasses he wore that day during the challenge which, coincidently, took place in left field at Fenway Park.
This latest honor bestowed on Frates, will ensure that future generations will never forget the amazing impact Pete had on the baseball community and in the field of ALS research.
