CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College women's basketball team came out victorious over North Carolina, 77-64, for its first ACC win on the season in Chestnut Hill Friday afternoon.
Boston College improved to 6-9 overall and 1-1 in the ACC. North Carolina is now 10-5 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Though down coming out of the first quarter, the Eagles found two encouraging runs in the second frame to outscore the Tar Heels by eight points, capturing the lead going into half time. BC found its first double-digit lead after Taylor Ortlepp sank a three and rode it into the fourth.
