CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Kevin O'Neil fired a shot into the top left corner with 32.2 seconds left in regulation on Saturday afternoon to hand UConn a 5-4 Hockey East victory over No. 18 Boston College in a back-and-forth affair at Kelley Rink.
The loss snapped the Eagles unbeaten streak at six as they dropped to 10-6-3 (5-4-2 HEA), while the Huskies improved to 9-7-0 (6-4-0 HEA) and evened the regular season series between the schools at 1-1-0.
Prior to O'Neil's winner, had tied the game at 4-4 on a partial breakaway with 54.5 seconds remaining in the third period.
