Boston College sailing alums Annie Haegar and Briana Provancha will have to wait another day before their quest for a medal resumes in Rio. The medal race in the women’s 470 was slated for this afternoon at 12:15 PM, but lack of wind in the area caused a delay of multiple hours. Finally, at around 3 PM, race organizers made the decision to call off the race for the day and try again tomorrow.
Haegar and Provancha sit in third place, within striking distance of silver but certainly at risk of dropping out of the medals with one race to go.
