GREENSBORO, N.C. - Boston College lacrosse standout Charlotte North was named the ACC's Female Athlete of the Year for a second straight season, the conference announced on Friday.
North is the 32nd recipient of the Mary Garber Award, while she is the fifth female student-athlete to earn the honor in back-to-back seasons and the first since Duke's Alana Beard (basketball) in 2003 and 2004.
She joins Pittsburgh Quarterback Kenny Pickett, who was named the ACC Male Athlete of the Year.
"I couldn't be more honored and humbled to be named the ACC Female Athlete of the Year," said North.
