Noah Hanifin was involved in a major trade that dropped during day two of the NHL Draft today, as he was moved from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Calgary Flames. The Panthers acquired former Bruin Dougie Hamilton, Micheal Ferland, and Adam Fox in exchange for Hanifin and Elias Lindholm.
Hanifin was the #5 overall pick by the Hurricanes in 2015 and has spent his entire professional career with them until now. He made his first All-Star game in 2018, when he put up a career high 32 points as a key member of the Hurricanes blue line. He will join with another former Eagle, Johnny Gaudreau, in Calgary.
