NEWTON, Mass. – In the first round of the 2019 ACC Field Hockey Championships, the No. 9 Boston College field hockey team defeated No. 21 Wake Forest, 2-0, to advance to the second time since joining the ACC and first time since 2015.
Darcy Clement scored her first-career goal and Jaime Natale scored late in the fourth period to give the Eagles the 2-0 win.
Sarah Dwyer spent all 60 minutes in net, though didn't face a single shot the entire game. It was the lowest shot total since 2011, when the Eagles defeated Holy Cross, 6-0.
