CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The fourth-ranked Boston College women's hockey team saw its 2017-18 season come to an end on Saturday afternoon as sixth-ranked Ohio State earned a 2-0 win in the teams' NCAA Quarterfinal at Kelley Rink. With the win, the Buckeyes advanced to their first-ever Frozen Four next weekend in Minneapolis.
After a scoreless first period, Ohio State (24-10-4) took a 1-0 lead from Lauren Boyle's power-play goal at 10:12 of the second. After being out-shot 32-15 in the first two stanzas, Boston College (30-5-3) powered back with a 23-9 shot advantage in the third period.
