WORCESTER, Mass. – No. 6 Boston College scored four goals in the opening 12 minutes on Saturday night and never looked back as the Eagles won the 2021 Icebreaker Tournament with a 5-1 victory over Holy Cross at the DCU Center.
BC out-shot Holy Cross 41-19 on the night and held the Crusaders without a single power play. It was the first time accomplishing the feat since Nov. 5, 2010. The Eagles were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.
Senior captain scored a pair of goals in the first period, including the power play tally, while graduate transfer and rookie registered their first goals in a BC sweater.
