CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The 40th-ranked and No. 11 seed Boston College women's tennis team kicks off the 2019 ACC Championship on Wednesday (April 17) with a 5 p.m. first round match against the 14th-seeded Louisville Cardinals at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina. The winner will play No. 6 seed Wake Forest on Thursday (April 18) at 5 p.m.

Boston College (15-9, 5-9 ACC) is ranked 40th nationally in this week's ITA rankings, chasing its first NCAA Tournament berth since 1997. The Eagles were tied for ninth in the final ACC standings with Syracuse and Notre Dame, but lost the three-way tiebreaker as they dropped to the 11-seed.
