WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Boston College men's soccer team got an equalizer from Trevor Davock early in the second half but No. 2 Wake Forest got a game-winning goal in the 75th minute and held on for a 2-1 win at Spry Stadium on Friday night.
BC held an 18-7 edge in shots and a 6-3 edge in shots on goal. The Eagles earned eight corners to four for the Demon Deacons.
The Eagles came out flying and pressured the Demon Deacons' defense. In the fifth minute, Lasse Lehmann worked to feed Simon Enstrom for a shot that Andreu Mundet charged out to cut off.
