No. 2 Eagles Suffer First Loss, 3-1 at UConn

STORRS, Conn. – UConn scored three goals in the second period and held off No. 2 Boston College 3-1 in BC's final game of the first semester on Saturday afternoon at the Freitas Ice Forum.

The Eagles (5-1-0, 1-1-0 HEA) saw their five-game winning streak come to an end, in addition to their six-game winning streak against the Huskies (1-2-1, 1-1-0 HEA). The loss also snapped a 14-game unbeaten run (13-0-1) dating back to last season for BC.

Henry Wilder once again performed admirably in his second collegiate start. The rookie netminder finished the contest with 39 saves, including 17 in the second period and 14 more in the third.
