NEWTON, Mass. - The No. 16 Eagles (5-2, 1-0 ACC) defeated the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest University (2-4, 0-1 ACC) 4-1 on Friday night at the Newton Field Hockey Complex.
The action started in the second quarter, as Yani Zhong netted her sixth goal of the season on a penalty corner, with assists coming from Mia Garber and Martina Giacchino. Peyton Hale then put the Eagles up 2-0 going into the half on a penalty corner, assisted by Yani Zhong and Madelieve Drion.
