BOSTON – No. 15 Northeastern came back from 4-1 down in the third period, tying the game in the final second of regulation, before winning a shootout over Boston College for an extra Hockey East point on Friday night at Matthews Arena.
The Eagles moved to 2-4-2 (2-3-1 HEA) following the official tie, their second against NU this season, while the Huskies pushed their record to 6-2-3 (5-2-2 HEA).
Cam Lund had a hat trick for Northeastern and scored the lone goal in the shootout to secure the extra league point.
Cutter Gauthier posted his first career multi-goal game and added an assist for a three-point performance.
