CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – No. 13 Northeastern used a pair of third period goals to pull away from Boston College for a 4-1 Hockey East victory on Saturday night at Kelley Rink to split a home-and-home series.
The Eagles dropped to 11-16-5 (6-11-3 HEA) while the Huskies improved to 20-10-1 (10-7-1 HEA).
Senior assistant captain Patrick Giles collected his 12th goal of the season on assists from Trevor Kuntar and Drew Helleson. Eric Dop closed the night with 17 saves.
Aidan McDonough handed the Huskies an early lead just 23 seconds after the opening faceoff as he finished a centering pass from Ty Jackson at the top of the crease.
