PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 13 Boston College field hockey team defeated Providence on Friday, Aug. 30 at the Lennon Family Field in Providence, Rhode Island, 2-1. Leading the way for the Eagles were junior and , who each scored goals for Boston College.
Providence would open the scoring first, where Olivia Ward would score nine minutes into the game during a scrum in front of the cage.
Govaert scored off a short corner early in the second period, receiving the ball from freshman at the top of the circle. Junior played a perfect injection to Von Huelsen, who's one touch put the ball in the right spot for Govaert to hit home a low shot off the corner.
