CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.: The Boston College field hockey team prepares to travel to College Park, Maryland for the annual ACC/Big Ten Cup tournament. They will face No. 4 Maryland (3-0) in an evening matchup at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 31, before taking on No. 12 Northwestern Sunday morning at 11 a.m. The Eagles have participated in the tournament annually since 2015.
The Eagles started their season off strong with a regular non-conference matchup at Quinnipiac. They shut out the Bobcats, 7-0, led by five points (2 g, 1 a) from sophomore Fusine Govaert and three points (1 g, 1 a) from graduate student Brooke Matherson.
