NEWTON, Mass. – No. 12 Boston College (7-4, 1-2 ACC) successfully defended their home field against Vermont (4-7, 1-2 AE) on Sunday, claiming a 5-0 shutout victory.
Peyton Hale led the way offensively for the Eagles, scoring the first and last goals of the game off a rocket at the top of the circle from a penalty corner setup by Margo Carlin and Martina Giacchino. Eva Kluskens would strike next for BC, sending a loose ball off a UVM save into the back of the cage to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead.
