WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – No. 10 Wake Forest broke through with three goals in the final 17 minutes of regulation in a 3-1 ACC victory over visiting Boston College on Saturday night at Spry Stadium.
The Demon Deacons improved to 11-3-0 overall and 4-2-0 in the conference, while the Eagles dropped to 3-6-3 (1-4-1 ACC).
Senior striker Stefan Sigurdarson netted his league-leading eighth goal of the season in the loss.
Following a tight, scoreless first half, Wake Forest finally found the back of the net in the 74th minute. Jahlane Forbes sent a left-wing cross to the back post and Colin Thomas finished first time into the roof of the net to open the scoring.
