NEWTON, Mass. - No. 10 Boston College field hockey (10-3, 5-0 ACC) defeated the Stanford Cardinal (5-7, 0-6 ACC) by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Eagles got on the board three and a half minutes into the game, as Peyton Hale fired a shot from just inside the circle, which was saved by Daisy Ford, but tipped in by Madelieve Drion to make it 1-0.
10 minutes into the second half, the Eagles were awarded a penalty corner, which they capitalized on.
