CHAPEL HILL, N.C.– The No. 1 Boston College lacrosse team had a dominant afternoon in Chapel Hill as they kick-started their conference stretch with an impressive 14-8 win over No. 3 North Carolina. The Eagles were backed by five goals from senior Sam Apuzzo and a standout performance from sophomore goalkeeper Abbey Ngai.
The Tar Heels hopped on the board first with a goal from Jamie Ortega, but the opening goal would prove to be their only lead of the contest. Shortly after, sophomore Jordan Lappin tied it up for the Eagles with a free position goal before junior Cara Urbank grabbed a pass from graduate student Kenzie Kent to give BC the lead.
