It was a huge portion of the schedule, a time when they could finally tackle the middle of the ACC standings, and their battle-hardened soul primed to go an extra mile. Clemson, Florida State, Pittsburgh and Miami crested on the horizon, all winnable games if the team's steam engine could move forward.
