TUCSON, Ariz. – Boston College third baseman Cody Morissette (Exeter, N.H.) was named an All-American for the second year in a row by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. A second-team selection, Morissette became the first two-time All-American in BC history.
In a shortened 15-game season, Morissette hit a team-best .448 (26-for-58) and owned a 1.177 OPS with six doubles, two home runs and nine walks. He scored 14 runs, drove in 11 and added three stolen bases.
Against Holy Cross on March 10, the Eagles' final game of the season, Morissette collected his 100th career hit with a first-inning single that started a two-out rally, which led to the first BC run in a 10-7 win.
