CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior defenseman Toni Ann Miano scored two third-period goals to cap the comeback effort as the No. 2 Boston College women's hockey team earned a 2-1 win over Vermont on Saturday afternoon at Kelley Rink.
After a scoreless first period, Vermont (6-16-4, 3-11-3 HEA) got on the board at 14:23 of the second. Olivia Kilberg was on the doorstep to deflect a Kourtney Menches centering pass in, giving the Catamounts the 1-0 lead over Boston College (22-2-3, 15-1-3 HEA) that they held through the second intermission.
However, 4:10 into the third, Miano tied it up with a rising shot from the top of the faceoff circle before netting the game-winning goal six minutes later in a similar play.
