CARY, N.C. – The Boston College men's tennis team faced elimination in the opening round of the ACC Tournament, dropping a 4-0 decision to 12-seeded Miami on Wednesday.
BC surrendered the doubles point to open the match, falling short 6-2, 6-3 in the second and third doubles matches respectively. No. 20 Juan Jose Bianchi/Jake Vassel were tied at 4-4 against No. 43 Adrien Burdet/Vladislav Melnic in the first doubles match, but went unfinished after Miami clinched the point.
Bianchi and Caleb Saltz fought valiantly in singles competition against top-125 opponents, falling short 6-3, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-3 respectively.
