Incoming Eagle Josh Couturier will be one of two rookie defenseman to guard the blue line as part of the 2015-16 edition of the men's hockey team after playing with the Boston Junior Bruins of the United States Premiere Hockey League (USPHL).
As a defenseman, the 6-foot-2 rearguard logged 38 points for the Boston Jr. Bruins last season, including 16 goals and 22 points, in 49 games played. Across the board, Couturier finished 42nd in the league in scoring from the blue line.
Prior to his time in the USPHL, the Newburyport, Mass., native skated for the Des Moines Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) during the 2013-14 season, notching three goals and 10 helpers with +4 rating in 39 games played.
