CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College freshman fencer Bolang Meng will compete in the 2019 National Collegiate Men's and Women's Fencing Championships this weekend at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Meng is one of 144 fencers who will be competing at the event, which is being held March 21-24.
Fencers will compete in a round-robin format of five-touch bouts. After round robin, top- four finishers in each weapon will fence in semifinal 15-touch bouts, with winners fencing to determine first and second places, and non-advancing fencers being awarded a tie for third place. Meng will be heading to the strip in the men's sabre for Boston College.
