CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College baseball freshman Mason Pelio and softball sophomore Emme Martinez have been named the Nissan Eagles of the Week for their performances this past week.
Pelio started and threw 6.2 innings in BC's 3-2 win over No. 20 Clemson on Sunday afternoon. The right-hander limited the Tigers to one unearned run with a bases-loaded double play and a strikeout in the first to get around a leadoff-error. Pelio (3-1) was in control for the remainder of his outing as he stranded seven base runners through six innings.
