In the number one singles spot, , who along with , defeated the No. 11 doubles team in the country on Friday, earned a singles win against the Demon Deacons with a 6-4, 0-6, 1-0 victory to put BC on the board. Lopez took her opponent to the third set but ultimately fell 1-6, 6-1, 6-7.
The Eagles will remain at home next weekend with two more matches against Notre Dame and Louisville on Friday and Sunday in Weymouth.
