Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The No. 22 Boston College Eagles (8-9, 3-3) cruised to a decisive upset victory over the No. 8 Louisville Cardinals (12-6, 1-5) on Friday afternoon, pouring in four unanswered goals to earn a 4-1 win and clinch the No. 5 seed in the ACC Tournament over Louisville.
The Cardinals took an early 1-0 lead after the initial save from Emily Gillespie stayed in front of the net, and the rebound trickled in. It was Gillespie's lone blemish on the day, however. Making her seventh start of the season, the Kentucky native faced 14 shots and tied her season-high in saves, stopping six shots including several crunch-time chances down the stretch.
