LOUISVILLE, Ky. – No. 13 Boston College baseball lost to No. 15 Louisville, 5-0, at Jim Patterson Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals claimed the series and improved to 10-4 overall and 3-2 in the ACC, while the Eagles fell to 9-4 and 2-3; dropping back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Louisville used the long ball to beat junior right-hander Emmet Sheehan (Darien, Conn.). Following a pair of first-inning walks, third baseman Alex Binelas hit a three-run home run to right; his first of the season. In the fourth, the Cardinals got a two-out rally going and scored with a two-run home run by second baseman Cooper Bowman.
