ROME, Ga. -- The Eagles stormed back to take down Louisville in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday night, topping the Cardinals 4-3 after dropping the doubles point. Stephanie Sanchez earned an important first point for the Eagles, winning the No. 4 singles in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, starting the rally for Boston College. Plobrung Plipuech dropped her first set 4-6, but flipped the script in the second and third, winning 12 of 16 games over the final two sets, earning the Eagles their second point.
After Sophia Edwards dropped a highly-contested singles match in a third-set tiebreak, it came down to courts 2 and 6, with Laura Lopez and Muskan Mahajan, a late add, both in their third-sets with the match on the line.
