BRIGHTON, Mass. — Boston College Baseball (21-22, 8-16), fell 7-6 to UMass Lowell (20-22) in their mid-week contest on Tuesday night.
The River Hawks jumped out for four in the opening frame, but the Eagles' offense wasn't quiet for long. In the bottom of the second, Sam McNulty (Cambridge, Mass.) cut the deficit in half with a two-out, two-run single to right field with the bases loaded.
Kyle Kipp (Stamford, Ct.) relieved Brian McMonagle after an inning and turned in a strong two frames, striking out four and allowing just one hit and one run.
