WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Spencer Knight was named the Stop It Goaltender of the Month by Hockey East on Monday in a combined award for games played in November and December.
Knight went 4-0-0 in net for the Eagles before departing to compete for Team USA at the IIHF World Junior Championships. The sophomore posted a 1.50 goals against average and a .955 save percentage in his first four starts, finishing with back-to-back shutouts against No. 12 Providence.
The Darien, Connecticut native extended his shutout streak to 132 minutes and his personal unbeaten streak to 13 straight games (12-0-1) dating back to last season.
