The Boston Globe today announced that two-sport star Kenzie Kent won the “Globie” which is apparently a thing) for Best College Athlete, as well as (obviously) Female Athlete of the Year:
Kenzie led BC Women’s Hockey to its third consecutive Frozen Four last season before the Eagles fell 1-0 to #1 Wisconsin in the waning seconds of the semifinal. She also took BC Lacrosse to the national championship game, putting up a ridiculous 10 points in the final and being honored as tournament MVP despite playing for the losing team.
For Best College Athlete, Kent beat out a slew of hockey playing nominees including Zach Aston-Reese (Northeastern).
