Yesterday, Kenzie Kent was announced as a finalist for the 2017 Honda Sport Award for lacrosse. A Honda Sports Award is awarded to the best female NCAA in 12 sports (basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming/diving, tennis, track & field, and volleyball). The winners in each sport are then eligible for the Honda Cup, awarded to the best female NCAA athlete of the year.
Kent is one of 4 finalists for the lacrosse award... and she only played half a season, missing the first half for ice hockey. She is joined by Marie McCool (UNC), Kylie Ohlmiller (Stony Brook) and Zoe Stukenberg (Maryland).
