CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College women's hockey associate head coach Courtney Kennedy has been named an assistant coach of the 2017-18 U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team. This is the second time in as many years – and the fourth time overall – that Kennedy has been tabbed to the U18 staff.
The 2017-18 Under-18 coaching staff will be led by Minnesota associate head coach Joel Johnson, who will serve as head coach. Minnesota Duluth head coach Maura Crowell will be the U18s' associate coach, while Kennedy will serve as the assistant coach. The U.S. U18s will face Canada's U18s in its annual summer series in Lake Placid, New York, from August 17-20, and at the 2018 IIHF Women's Under-18 World Championship, which is anticipated to take place in early 2018.
