Boston College lacrosse’s new assistant coach, Kayla Treanor, helped Team USA to win gold earlier today in the 2017 IL Women’s World Cup. This is USA’s 8th gold medal win in the tournament. Team USA won the gold medal match by a score of 10-5, defeating Canada. The US is now 60-6-1 overall in World Cup play.
Treanor was shut out from the scoreboard in today’s gold medal match, but she was a major factor in getting Team USA to the gold medal game. Treanor led Team USA with 43 points in the first 7 games of the tournament and was named to the All-Tournament Team following today’s game.
