PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Logan Hutsko won a 1-on-1 race and tucked a shot under the crossbar just 23 seconds into overtime as Boston College extended its season with a 4-3 victory over No. 7 Providence in Game 2 of the best-of-three Hockey East Quarterfinals at Schneider Arena on Saturday night.
The Eagles and Friars will face off in a decisive Game 3 on Sunday night at 5 p.m. with a trip to TD Garden on the line.
Hutsko's winner snapped a 19-game goal scoring drought for the sophomore, who raced onto a backhand clearance from Michael Kim on the first shift of overtime.
