STORRS, Conn. – The No. 5/6 Boston College women's hockey team dropped its first game of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 5-2 to the UConn Huskies at the Freitas Ice Forum. scored twice for the Eagles in the loss.
UConn scored just 55 seconds into the first period and then took a 2-0 lead near the midway point. Belinskas scored with 2:41 to go in that opening period, but the Huskies took a 3-1 lead 14 seconds left before the break.
