BOSTON – Gridiron Club of Greater Boston Awards Committee Chairman Tim Whelan and President Cheryl Duddy Schoenfeld today announced that Boston College redshirt junior tight end Hunter Long is the winner of the 82nd Bulger Lowe Award as New England's best collegiate player.
Long caught 57 passes in 2020 to lead all tight ends in the country in that category. His 685 yards receiving placed him second in the nation. He also caught five touchdown passes.
The Football Writers' Association of America, the Associated Press, the Sporting News, CBS Sports, and The Athletic all made Long a Second Team All-America pick.
